Park Chaeyoung (박채영), better known by her stage name Rosé, is a South Korean singer, dancer and songwriter currently signed to The Black Label and Atlantic Records. She is best known as the main singer and lead dancer of the globally successful girl group Blackpink.
Lisa was born on March 27, 1997 and was given the name Pranpriya Manobal. However, she changed her name at the age of about 13. A fortune teller advised her that a new name would bring good luck. Since then she has been called Lalisa Manobal, which means “the praised one”. She uses the nick name Lisa as her stage name.
Kim Jisoo (김지수) was born on January 3, 1995 in Gunop, South Korea. She has an older brother (Junghun) and an older sister (Jiyoon). In 2011, Jisoo took part in an audition for YG Entertainment and was subsequently accepted as a trainee. On August 8, 2016, Jisoo debuted as a member of Blackpink.
Tzuyu (쯔위) was born on June 14, 1999 in Tainan, Taiwan. Tzuyu enjoyed dancing from a young age and trained at a dance academy. In 2015, she competed with 15 other trainees for a place in JYP's new girl group. She was successful and debuted as a member of Twice on October 20, 2015.
Jungkook (정국) was born on September 1, 1997 in Busan, South Korea. From a young age, he was fascinated by the world of K-pop idols and began studying and reenacting their performances. In 2011, at the age of just 13, he participated in the South Korean talent show "Superstar K".
Key (키) was born on September 23, 1993 in Daegu, South Korea. He was raised by his grandmother because his parents were both working. He applied to SM Entertainment several times and was accepted as a trainee in 2005. On May 25, 2008, Key debuted as a member of the five-member boy group SHINee.
Kim Soo-hyun was born on February 16, 1988 in Seoul, South Korea and grew up there with his family. His father, Kim Chung Hoon, was a former member of the band "Seven Dolphins", a rock band from the 1980s. Despite these musical roots, it was not clear at the beginning that Kim Soo Hyun would pursue a career in the entertainment industry.
