On March 28, 2022, Oh My Girl released the studio album Real Love, of which almost 100 thousand copies were sold within a month. The title track of the same name brought the girl group the win on the music show THE SHOW. That means Oh My Girl have now won 20 music show trophies!
Of course, fans wanted more, but unfortunately more than a year has passed without a new album. On top of that, Jiho left the group in May 2022. 15 months after Real Love, a new album is finally on the way: GOLDEN HOURGLASS is coming out on July 25!
It is the first Oh My Girl album as a six-member group, so it will surely feel unfamiliar. But we are sure that the singers have put in even more effort than usual to impress us once again! You can already pre-order the result of their hard work in our shop!
There are four varied versions to choose from: Two Standard versions, one Kit version and one Poca Album.
The two Standard versions are called Wave and Light.
The names match the first teaser posters, which show sand, waves and an hourglass sparkling in the sun. Oh My Girl will probably present us with a summer hit!
Both versions consist of an 80-page photo book, which contains a CD, a sticker, a bookmark and lots and lots of random extras: Two out of 12 possible photocards, one out of six tickets, one out of six Stone cards and one out of six Message cards.
If you pre-order the album, you optionally get a poster too!
Do you like collecting digital albums? Then you will be happy to hear that Oh My Girl is offering two different digital versions!
If you buy the Poca Album, you can look forward to two out of 5 possible photocards, two stickers and exclusive digital content. To access the digital content, you need the so-called QR Card Album. This is a photocard with a QR code on the back. Every buyer gets one of four possible QR cards. A guide is included as well.
As with all Poca Albums, you can turn the packaging into a photocard stand.
GOLDEN HOURGLASS is the first album for which Oh My Girl is also offering a Poca version! So it is a little highlight for every Oh My Girl collection!
The same goes for the KiT version:
It comes with a Title & Credit card, an AiR KiT, one of six Selfie photocards and a ten-piece photocard set! Get it here!
As already mentioned, Oh My Girl has already uploaded summery teaser posters for the new album. One of them is a schedule that reveals which teasers are waiting for us over the next few weeks:
A concept film kicks things off tomorrow (July 5). It is followed by concept photos, of course, the tracklist and lots of other teasers such as a highlight medley!
Oh My Girl debuted in 2015 with eight members and can look back on quite a few eventful years:
Jiho is already the second member to leave the group. JinE had already said goodbye to the others in 2017. But Oh My Girl doesn't let anything get them down and regularly releases earworm hits like 5th Season, Nonstop or Dun Dun Dance to this day!
The six members are Hyojung, Mimi, YooA, Seunghee, Yubin and Arin. Some of them sing soundtracks for K-dramas. YooA has also already released two solo albums, most recently Selfish in November 2022.
