IU breaks records with "Love wins all" and presents her new album!

Over a week ago IU released the pre-release single “Love wins all” which we just can’t get enough of. This is not only because of IU's beautiful voice, but also because of the dramatic music video that the singer filmed together with V from BTS. The song is featured on IU’s new mini album “The Winning,” which will be released on February 20th.
Shall we take a quick look at the album?
There are two different versions to choose from: The red I WIN version and the gray U WIN version. Both consist of a photo book held together by a cover. Not only is this practical, but it also looks cool! The cover has small gaps through which parts of the photo book cover can be seen.
It is not yet known how many pages the photo books have, but the first concept photos for both versions are already available on Twitter. In the photos, IU has blonde hair, unlike the music video for "Love Wins All" where her hair is black.
In the photo book you will not only find breathtaking images, but also a bunch of extras! These include, for example, a mug shot photo card, a card with a hidden message, an Accordion photo card and a normal photo card. You will also receive a crossword puzzle postcard, logo sticker and of course a CD. Which of these extras are you most looking forward to?
The Winning is IU's first album in two years! The mini album “Pieces” was most recently released in December 2021.
In addition to the album, IU has also announced her first world tour, which includes stops in Europe. You can find out more about this here:Thanks to the H.E.R World Tour you can finally see IU live!

“Love wins all” was a topic of conversation long before its release:
At the beginning of December 2023, IU's agency confirmed that BTS V would star in the music video for the single. V finished filming shortly before his military service began. So this is the last we see of him.
In addition, shortly before publication, the title was changed from “Love wins” to “Love wins all”. IU responded to the complaints of fans who noted that the term “Love wins” is associated with the LGBTQ community and is inappropriate as a song title.

Since its release, the song has made headlines mainly because of its success!
IU dominates both Korean and international music charts with “Love Wins All,” showing her global influence. After its release, the song quickly climbed to the top of various Korean real-time charts including Melon's Top 100.
IU made history by becoming the first female artist to have a song debut at No. 1 on the Melon Top 100! She achieved this feat just an hour after releasing the song. IU is only the second artist to celebrate this success. Before her, only BTS had achieved this with “Yet To Come”.

That's not all we can congratulate IU on:
Internationally, the single reached number 1 on the iTunes Top Songs charts in more than 23 regions.
Furthermore, IU's song has achieved a certified all-kill by reaching the top of various music charts such as Melon, Genie, Bugs, YouTube Music, VIBE, FLO and iChart. The popular singer also bagged her first music show trophy for the song. On February 1st she won M Countdown, defeating, among others, (G)I-DLE.
Fans are particularly interested in the music video. In the last few days they have discussed the meaning behind it and put forward exciting theories.
IU explained that the song is dedicated to her loved ones, especially her fans. She wants to be next to them and tell them not to be afraid.
Fans are convinced that V is meant to represent these loved ones. In the video, IU and V are fleeing from a mysterious square and IU is trying to protect V. What do you think of it? Do you have your own theories? Share them with us!
