Singer, songwriter, entrepreneur and fashion icon: G-Dragon is without a doubt one of the biggest K-Pop superstars ever, and now he's back! His new album “ÜBERMENSCH” is due out on February 25, followed by his first World Tour in 8 years!
G-Dragon, whose real name is Kwon Ji-yong, is known for his captivating performances and his strong presence. He debuted in 2006 in the boy group BigBang, which enjoyed national and international success from early on. Not without reason, fans and media also call the group the “Kings of K-Pop”. G-Dragon's solo career is also marked by chart hits and records. His debut album “Heartbreaker” (2009) was the best-selling album by a Korean solo artist that year.
From 2018 to 2019, G-Dragon served his military service and has hardly released any solo music since. In 2024, however, he released two singles at once: “Power” and “Home Sweet Home”.
Both songs are considered pre-release singles for the new studio album “ÜBERMENSCH”. It is the first solo album since the 2017 mini album “Kwon Ji Yong” and the first studio album since the 2013 album “Coup d'Etat”.
G-DRAGON 2025 WORLD TOUR ‘ÜBERMENSCH’
Like the upcoming album, the new World Tour is titled “ÜBERMENSCH” and is already met with great enthusiasm. Fans are of course mainly wondering which countries will be on the list this time.
“ÜBERMENSCH” is a German word that generally describes an ideal person who leads or strives for an extraordinary life.
G-Dragon has already completed 2 world tours:
The first World Tour “One of a Kind World Tour” already took place in 2013, comprised 27 concerts and took the charismatic singer all across Asia. The second tour “Act III: M.O.T.T.E World Tour” in 2017 was a lot bigger. It comprised 37 dates and went beyond the borders of Asia. As part of the tour, G-Dragon also visits Australia, North America and Europe!
So there is hope that European fans can once again look forward to a concert near them. We'll of course keep you posted!
