Just last week, EXO announced the release of member D.O’s first mini album in a tweet!
The mini album will be released on July 26 at 6 pm (KST) and has been available as a pre-order item in our shop since last Thursday.
Just one day after D.O's tweet, more details about the album were finally revealed.
The album is called Empathy and contains a total of eight songs, characterized by a „sweet tone and warm sensibility.“, as D.O himself says. Two of the eight songs are bonus songs - songs that don't fit 100% with the concept of the rest of the album. However, the bonus songs will only be included in the physical edition.
We are curious which bonus songs he will surprise us with!
With this, D.O, who completed his military service on January 25, is, after Lay, Chen, Baekhyun, Suho and Kai, the sixth member of EXO to release a solo album.
D.O is also known for his acting skills. You may know him, for example, from films such as Cart, Unforgettable, Room No. 7, and Swing Kids and from dramas such as It's Ok, This is Love, and 100 Days My Prince.
The South Korean-Chinese boy group from Seoul, founded in 2011 by SM Entertainment, debuted in 2012 with the single MAMA and consists of a total of 9 members:
