BIOGRAPHY

Yeosang (여상) was born on June 15, 19999 in Pohang-si, South Korea. He attended the IB Music Academy and was then signed as a trainee by BigHit Music (then known as “BigHit Entertainment”) in 2014. In 2017 he left BigHit and was in contact with six different agencies, out of which he chose KQ. In October 2017, a few of KQ Entertainment's trainees took part in a casting for the show MIXNINE (a survival reality show). Unfortunately, Yeosang didn't make it.

Before Yeosang's big debut, he was part of "KQ Fellaz" - that's the name of KQ's group in which all trainees train together. On October 24, 2018, Yeosang debuted as a member of ATEEZ with the album "Treasure". The group consists of the members Hongjoong , Seonghwa , Yunho , Yeosang, San , Mingi , Wooyoung and Jongho .

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

As a singer, rapper and dancer of the promising and colorful group "ATEEZ", Yeosang has achieved a wealth of milestones together with his members and has continuously surpassed himself with each comeback. Below we have summarized the most important achievements for you.

• In December 2018, ATEEZ was named “New Asian Artist at the Mnet Asian Music Awards” (MAMA), marking a notable start for the up-and-coming group.
• A year later, in January 2019, they received the coveted “New Artist of the Year Award” at the Golden Disc Awards, thereby securing a permanent place in the Korean music scene.
• International recognition followed in October 2020 when they received the title of "Best Korean Act" at the MTV Europe Music Awards (EMA), demonstrating their global presence.
• In 2021, ATEEZ was once again named “Artist of the Year” at The Fact Music Awards.
• In January 2022, ATEEZ received the coveted Bonsang Award at the Seoul Music Awards.
• With the release of their EP “The World EP.Fin: Will” they reached diamond and platinum in South Korea in December 2023.
• In 2024, her song "Not Okay" achieved the coveted platinum status in Japan.

There are hardly any solo projects from Yeosang so far. However, he released a cover of Jeong Jun-il on YouTube in 2023.

So far, Yeosang has hardly had any of his own film projects. Arguably the highlight of his career was being a permanent presenter on MTV SBS The Show. There he was able to show that there was more to him and that he could entertain the audience.

• Yeosang war with Wooyoung bei Bighit Ent. Trainer.
• Yeosang went to KQ Entertainment first. Wooyoung followed shortly after. The two have known each other for more than 10 years
• On the album Fin:Will, the trio with Wooyoung, San, Yeosang made their debut with the song “Its You”.
• There is a debate as to which animal is Yeosang: Doberman or Maltese"
• Yeosang has a birthmark on his left eye, but it is often covered up.
