About Blue Valentine
The song tells of a love that NMIXX can't let go of despite the pain it brings. The term "Blue Valentine" symbolizes a faded relationship. This love was hot and full of passion, but over time it has cooled, leaving behind sadness, longing, and suffering. Despite realizing the relationship is broken, like "broken glass on the ground," the singers would dive back into it anyway.
The success of Blue Valentine marks a significant turning point for NMIXX. With the song, the girl group claimed the top spot on the Korean Melon Top 100 chart for the first time. In doing so, NMIXX not only set a new personal record but also an important milestone for their label JYP Entertainment: the last JYP girl group to achieve this success was TWICE in 2020 with "More & More."
And that's not the only personal best NMIXX surpassed with this album: both on the US Billboard charts and on the Korean Circle Chart, they exceeded their previous peaks, some of which had stood since their debut with "O.O"!
The song sparked a broad response and quickly became a topic of conversation on social media, where fans and new listeners praised the group's musical achievement. Thanks to their strong presence and viral clips, NMIXX was also able to win over many new fans and expand their reach far beyond their existing fanbase.
