Felix (Stray Kids) Profile

BIOGRAPHY

Felix (필릭스 pillikseu) was born on September 15, 2000 in Sydney, Australia. His parents were born in South Korea, but later emigrated to Australia. Until Felix moved to Korea on March 14, 2017, he lived in the suburb of Seven Hills with his parents and two sisters, Rachel and Olivia, and graduated from St. Patrick's Marist College.

One afternoon after school, Felix received a message from the entertainment agency JYPE asking him if he would be interested in coming to a casting. At the casting, Felix was able to convince JYPE with a freestyle dance and officially joined the agency on February 24, 2017. To pursue his dream, he moved to Seoul, South Korea, without his family and with a lack of language skills.

On October 11, 2017, JYPE announced the survival show “Stray Kids”. In the show, Felix was introduced as a dancer and rapper of the “Male Group Project”. The “Male Project Team” was special from the start because, unlike most other K-pop groups, it was not formed by the agency. Instead, trainee Bang Chan himself put together the team of nine members. The members were: Bang Chan , Lee Know , Han , Changbin , Felix, Hyunjin , Seungmin , I.N and Woojin.

Felix had a harder time than the others because he only spoke and understood little Korean. In order to improve himself, he studied for hours into the night alongside the hard training as a trainee. In the 8th episode he was still eliminated due to his lack of language skills. Felix returned later in the broadcast. In the last episode of the Survival Show on December 19, 2017, it was announced that this very group that Bang Chan put together was making its debut and Felix was part of the group again. However, in October 2019, Woojin left the group for unknown reasons.

DISCOGRAPHY

Felix is best known for his deep, bass-heavy voice, which he skillfully uses in his rap. His voice is a powerful weapon that helps Stray Kids stand out from other groups. He describes himself as the bass of the group. When Felix sings, his voice is almost unrecognizable because he sounds very gentle and boyish. Apart from his “Killing Parts” in the Stray Kids songs, he has so far released one solo song in which he presents his softer side to his fans.
